For a long period, the ardent wish to let others know about Shri DURGA SAPTASHASHTI;had remained dormant at the bottom of my heart.
The story of triumph of truth and gyan(the supreme knowledge) over lies ,fraud, malice and inner darkness has been retold innumerably by uncountable persons with very deep insight and research.
It is a humble effort to bring the scientific developments which were achieved at that period with an eye of modern approach, scientific temperament and technology.
At first I would like to lay down the story as it is told in Shri Durga Saptashati
The Durga Saptashati has been taken from The DEVI BHAGWAT, which having its roots in Shri Markandey Puran comprising of Nine thousand Slokas. Seven Hundred Slokas, taken from that PURAN to worship The Goddess Durga in a complete form is known as Shri Chandi. The original Chandi is somewhat different form Shri Durga Saptshati in vogue at present.
The Saptshati is comprised of Three Charitra (The major Chapters) – Pratham (first) having a story retold by The great sage MEDHA to the King SURATHA and a vaisya (businessman) SAMADHI about annhilation of demon MADHU and KAITABH, born with the ear- wax of Lord Shri Vishnu while in deep slumber in Ksheer Sagar (the ocean of milk)
The Madhyam Charitra from second chapter to fourth chapter deals with the origin of The Goddess Durga, annhilation of MAHISASUR (The Buffalo Demon) and stuti (prayers and chants) by other Gods distressed by the demon.
UTTER CHARITRA or the last ones from fifth chapter to thirteenth deals with the annhilation of several demons Dhumra Lochana (The smoke eyed), Chand-Mund, Rakta-beeja(The bold seed), Shumbh ,Nishumbh and prophecy/forecasting by Goddess Durga that she would incarnate as Vindhyavasini at Vindhyachal in the Kali yuga to relieve he pious and noble people from mischieves of tumultuous demons.
The Incarnation of the Goddess Durga known as Shakti Swaroopa (The face of the power), the almighty, the most beauteous, the most loving mother to all, tremendously powerful to finish all omens, demons, Satans and wicked temperaments, tells a tale that like of atomic fusion in present time.
She is comprised of best of the available divine genomes of specified God like- Her hairs with the sun, Vajra (the Thunder) of Indra, Sudarshan Chakra of lord Shri Vishnu, the strongest lion from the Himalayas, Pinaka (The Mighty arrow and the bow of Lord Shiva) The Kamandala of Lord Brahma (The creator of the world) and a lot.
Doesn’t it mean scientifically that the event was like fusion of super radioactive particles to create a unique atom of vast power of controlled destruction in such a far, far ahead robotic device that could have all the human qualities like kindness, affection and forgiveness etc?
All the episodes of fight had happened in open air with powerful Mantras and tantras (the micro formulae) The Sudarshan Chakra was such a weapon that could be guided to the target and after hitting the target it surely returned to its owner without loss of any energy stored in it. Wasn’t it more improved version of Inter continental ballistic missile or Drone Planes? What a golden period of scientific advancement that was!
The next important episode is the destruction of most powerful demon Rakta-Beeja.
Raktabeeja was gifted with such a benediction that if a droplet of his blood be fallen on the earth, it could generate the same demon with equal strength and vigour. That is the mirror copy of the demon in all respect. Does not it show the path to create the same creature through stem cell and genome growth? Today we are doing this in laboratories and still not capabable to create the same in all respect instantaneously, though we are having good labs and better minds.
To stop the further growth of that cell into a powerful demon it was known that if the blood be taken orally and passed to intestine, due to chemical change, the cell can never be developed as that demon of same magnitude and strength.
Goddess Mahavidya Chhinnmastika was ordered to devour all the blood oozing out of the wounded kabandh(bust) of raktabeej.
The properties of wine was also well known at that period Wine if taken in high dose turns the mindset to more cruelty.
Before killing the demon Nishumbh the Goddess Durga says O Nishumbh! You cry like thunder till I finish sipping my wine.
After sipping a large quantity of wine her eyes became red(she became ferocious) and killed the demon
One more episode is worth mentioning here that while fighting with the demon she let all her vivuties come out individually to fight out the specific demon. Was not it a controlled fission in guise of personification?
When challenged by Nishumbh That O Durga! You are fighting with the help of several helps(The fission particle) she once again showed the fusion experiment. The fission and fusion of atom went side by side without any machine. She told In the three lokas (swarg,martya and patal) non exists except me. 
To day we are lagging far and far behind to touch that paramount peak of scientific developments attained at that time.
The three main goddess of Shakti are-Shree Mahakali, shree Maha Laxmi and shree Maha Saraswati may be termed as the basic atomic particles Electron ,Protonand Neutron.
One step ahead of basic particles or the major-divisions have named as Mahavidya and are ten in numbers their names are as below-

We are having positron, antiproton and anti neutron till date.
The Goddess Durga is having twenty-four names which may be treated as sub divisions of major division are as under-

We have obtained neutrino and anti neutrino in modern science to substitute at present.
The further divisions of sub division are known as pi-meson,mu-mesons and anti particles. The names of atomic and sub atomic particles for that period are listed hereunder with reference to Shri Agnipurana.

Though I tried to compare our great inheritance with the modern science and technology may hurt the followers of Maa Durga,I heartedly apologize to all them.
Myself being an ardent devotee to Maa Durga and reciting Durga Saptashati for last Twenty two years on auspicious occasion of Shardiya Navratra and beholding the celebration get performed in my house since I got sense to understand.
Every adversity, every serious problem which was un- imaginable to overcome has been solved and overcome in my life by the grace of Maa Durga.
The Sidha Slokas are time tested remedies for overcoming the severest of the problems
Coming in one’s life if chanted by rules specified and with inner heart.
It, being a small example to prove that our developments at that period were par excellent as compared to modern time. Numerous examples are lying unearthed and unheeded in our ancient scriptures.
